You know her as “Aunt Viv” and the “second Mrs. Banks” on the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. But did you know Daphne Maxwell Reid was a 70’s activist, a model, and an amazing woman of “firsts” and new careers? These days Daphne has expanded her career to include designer, photographer and author of some pretty cool books – and a cookbook!
We’ll be talking about all Daphne’s many reinventions on this week’s Friday Happy Hour. Her experience of reinventing after 50 may help you reinvent your midlife too.
You can learn more about Daphne’s doors and designs and order her books and prints at Daphne Maxwell Reid And here are some of the doors.
Last week I talked about my experiences at the book expo. Here are a couple pix. Sally Field was gracious and kept things moving. Dr. Ruth, who turned 90 a few days later, amazed me for her abiltiy to be pleasant and professional…for – literally – hours! It was something for any woman, but for her age – kudos Dr. Ruth~
This week I talked about being in Gettysburg…and, if you’ve never read it, here is The Gettysburg Address
