August Victory Theme

Values

Values. This is one of the MOST IMPORTANT monthly Victorious Woman themes.
Without values, you are lost. Without values you easily give up your personal power. Without values, you turn over the leadership of your life to someone else…and you may not like the direction they take you.
What are values? Values are the personal standards by which you live your life. Your values system influences the choices you make about handling family matters, what friends to make, your style of clothes, your job, your goals and even your daily tasks.
I’m my experience with women, I find that most don’t know what their values are. Or they are confused about what a value is. One woman told me her top value was her ability to manipulate others. Since that isn’t a value, I asked her a few questions. Turns out what she really valued was safety. She grew up in a disjointed household where she never knew what was going to happen next. When she manipulated others, she got what she wanted, which gave her a sense of control, which made her feel safe. And nothing was as important to her as feeling safe.
Values are what I want you to think about this month. I’ll be adding articles, resources and other information this month to help you, so check back soon.

What are the Maine Diaries?

The Maine Diaries is a fun look at my annual adventure to New England where I unwind from normal life and reconnect with myself.

I was captivated by the Maine Coast on my first trip there in the late 90’s. In the years since, I’ve traveled up and down the coast from Kittery to Calais but I spend most of my Maine time Downeast. I love the adventures I have and the chance to unwind from the world and restore my inner clarity. I chronicle my experiences in The Maine Diaries.
