In Victorious Woman I talk about the Savvy Six Skills every woman needs to develop to be victoriously successful. Since writing about those six skills, I’ve noticed that many women don’t readily connect the Savvy Six with their own personal glass ceiling. So I developed the Dirty Dozen – the 12 ways women sabotage themselves.
One of the Dirty Dozen is Blurred Boundaries.
Too often we don’t even know for ourselves what our boundaries are until someone crosses one of them. Then we get hurt, angry and resentful.
But how angry can we get at others if we aren’t clear about our boundaries ourselves. And even when we know what they are, too many times we don’t know how to tell others.
Take a moment to think about your boundaries. In the Victorious Woman book, I explain the “formula” for telling someone that you don’t like what they’ve done. I also introduce you to “stop-think-go” which helps you avoid getting roped into doing things you don’t want to do.
