6.24.16 RadioWrapUp: When Bad Things Happen

Carole Brody Fleet joined us today to talk about her newest book, When Bad Things Happen to Good Women. She had some good tips for us to help us not just deal with our own stuff but to help us know what the best things to say and do are. Carole is also the multi-award winning author of the national bestsellers, “Happily EVEN After…” (Viva Editions) and “Widows Wear Stilettos…”  A two time contributor to the iconic Chicken Soup for the Soul book series, a regular contributor to The Huffington Post and ThirdAge.com and winner of the prestigious Books for a Better Life Award, one of the top awards in publishing, Carole is featured on a variety of television shows and regularly appears as a guest expert on numerous radio programs both nationally and internationally; as well as in national and international print and web media
I talked about several things and here are links to those:

  1. Chicago Murders 2016

  2. Music I Love

  3. Lean in Together video

  4. Victory Chicks Community

Today’s quote from Sheryl Sandberg:

I think, as a woman, you have to be more careful. You have to be more communal, you have to say yes to more things than men, you have to worry about things that men don’t have to worry about. But once we get enough women into leadership, we can break stereotypes down. If you lead, you get to decide.

What are the Maine Diaries?

The Maine Diaries is a fun look at my annual adventure to New England where I unwind from normal life and reconnect with myself.

I was captivated by the Maine Coast on my first trip there in the late 90’s. In the years since, I’ve traveled up and down the coast from Kittery to Calais but I spend most of my Maine time Downeast. I love the adventures I have and the chance to unwind from the world and restore my inner clarity. I chronicle my experiences in The Maine Diaries.
