I’m excited to share the news that, after a two-year covid hiatus, the Girlfriend Gala Victorious Woman Celebration is ON for May 25, 2022 at the Penn Oaks Golf Club!! Yayyyy!

Of course, again this year, besides celebrating each others’ victories – and certainly there will be a lot this year with all of us managing to get through the pandemic – this event will fund the Victorious Woman Scholarship. The last scholarship was awarded to two women, and I think you’ll get to meet both of them. Thanks to your generosity, in the past we’ve helped women through our donations to Safe Harbor, Home of the Sparrow, the Phil-Hanna Fund, and Neumann University, where – over the past few years – we’ve given college scholarships to SIX midlife women returning to get a college degree to become either teachers or nurses (mostly teachers). Yay for us – and THANK YOU for your support! We done good! 🙂
The Girlfriend Gala Committee – Helen Gallagher, MJ Hitz, Doreen McGettigan, Kate McDevitt, Maureen Ingelsby, Sandy Abernethy, and Antigone Gabriel are back – and frankly, for as hard as they work on this event, I don’t know why….but I’m so happy about it. They’ve gotten to know each other through our work together so, when we met for the first time in late January, we spent most of our first hour together just catching up and gabbing…it was fun! We also again have some much-appreciated help with wrapping baskets and raffle items from Charlene Bayley and her crew of artistic crafters. Also, photographer Jayne Tooey will be back to take pix.
