Yesterday I did an “Ask the Victory Strategist” event at the Eileen Fisher stores in Ardmore and King of Prussia PA. Not only did I meet some really neat customers, I worked with a great group of women. So often we hear about women who work together being catty and backstabbing. Not at this company. This group of sales consultants has worked together for five years. They are totally focused on serving their customers and making the store a harmonious place.
Inspiring Victorious Women
If you don’t already know about Eileen Fisher, she’s an interesting designer who encourages women to follow their dreams and celebrates them when they do. And, she puts her money where her mouth is by providing grants for women entrepreneurs.
Here’s what Eileen says about why she invests in other women and their goals:
“…women have helped me so much. Because I’ve struggled as a woman, because women support our company and we want to support women. We’re in a good position to sort of give back. It’s sort of a snowball effect. It’s more magic.”
The amazing thing is that the women who work at Eileen Fisher carry that energy into their work and with each other. You can feel it when you’re there. The women like working with Eileen Fisher and really honor their founder’s vision in the way they serve their customers and even in the way they treat each other.
I’m looking forward to being back at the Ardmore store in the fall to do another Victorious Woman event. Thanks to Carolyn, Yasmine, Peggy, Donna & Gail in Ardmore and ???? in KofP. You brought me into your wonderful woman energy and I felt like I was at home with each of you.
